Winter Blues
Wow, have you ever seen as much snow as we’ve had here in Cleveland this year!!!! So much for global warming….though I could use a little global warming right about now. At least I’ve had the chance to re-establish an intimate relationship with my snow blower….the same snow blower that almost took off 3 of my digits 6 years ago! And when I have been on the road this past month it’s been in places with worse weather than here in in C-town.
I’d like to thank everyone that came out to the Train Station last week to see our “Spina, Sullivan & Hudak” reunion show. It was our first time back there in 5 years and the place was packed and rockin’. We had loads of fun and I got a chance to visit with some old friends I hadn’t seen in years.
Reminder: Billy Sullivan and I are back at the Mad Cactus every Thursday so make sure you stop in and say hello. Last week a lot of the local musicians popped in to see us. Also, make sure you check out my February calendar as I’ll be out and about playing a few gigs with the “New Century Beatniks” filling in for my good buddy Fred Jackson while he takes a hiatus to rest his voice.
Before I go, I have to comment on our wacky US Senators. Yesterday they voted to approve Timothy Geithner as our new Treasury Secretary. As you know, the Treasury Secretary is America’s chief tax enforcement officer and, as I’m sure you know by now, Timothy Geithner DID NOT pay his taxes from 2001-04. Very strange…that would be like making a terrorist the head of Homeland Security. It’s a crazy world.
